A Generation Under Pressure
Today’s young adults are growing up in a world that moves faster, demands more, and leaves little room to breathe. They’re expected to choose a career before they’ve discovered who they are, to stay constantly connected while feeling increasingly alone, and to perform at adult levels in a world that keeps shifting beneath their feet.
Anxiety, self-doubt, and overwhelm have become so common that they’re almost expected — but that doesn’t mean they’re inevitable.
This stage of life, what I call the emergence phase, is one of the most critical and misunderstood seasons a person will ever experience. It’s the bridge between dependence and independence, where identity, confidence, and resilience are forged — but without the right support, it can feel like a storm you can’t get out of.
